Hello everyone - I have started preparing for the GMAT from 21st June and planning to take the test on 26th September. I know it may sound like a stupid question to ask - but most of you are experts in GMAT-do you think its possible to complete the prep by then? On average I am giving 22-25 hours per week to my prep.
You can say it depends upon how I will get on with my practice tests, etc and I agree. But for this time (4th time) I am doing structured preparation for GMAT and following this club very intensely. What I mean was on my previous 3 attempts I didn't even manage to cross 460 mark after exhausting most of the prep material. But I think my prep lacked quality. So this time, I am working slow and hard on concepts rather than doing questions straight away. I will do Quant first before I jump onto verbal. The books that I will follow are:
MGMAT Guides for Quant (For concepts and GMAT Club)
For Probability (Veritas)
SC (GMAT Club Grammar Book or MGMAT SC)
CR (Powerscore Bible)
RC(MGMAT RC) ---> This is probably my weakest area. But considering 460 as my last highest score in 3 attempts, I think my overall prep work had some weakness which I think was loads of guess work and not a solid grasp of concepts.
OG 11th and 12th Edition
Princeton 1012 (For prep)
Kaplan 800 or MGMAT Advanced depending upon how I get on with the easier stuff.
Practice Tests as suggested on GMAT Club.
I will use error log once I start doing the questions and see whether it works for me or not. Can anyone of you suggest whether I am heading towards right direction or not?

Your study hours and duration plan is good. But as usual planning is the easy part. Sticking to the plan is where people go wrong.
There are a lot of factors that come to play with sticking to the plan.
-You need to sit for 5 hours straight with full concentration
-Your mood plays a very important role in preparing. If you are not fully into it then sitting for 10hrs also is of no use.
-Again if you are in a mood to learn new concepts or in a mood to crack few new questions makes a difference.
-What was the activity that you were doing before you started your preparation also is important because GMAT is a very energy draining activity, If are low on energy you will be unable to concentrate and might make many mistakes. This will bring down your confidence and also interest to prepare the next day.
There are many like the ones mentioned above. They are all small things which make a major difference.
With respect to materials, Stick to few or you will be confused and will not be able to more forward.
