Well, it's obvious verbal is your crux. You only need a couple points in quant to get to 80+ percentile.

Do you know what sections in verbal are killing your score?

Well, not much anyone can tell you to do with such a general statement.

Keep working with your error log to track progress. Read the book review threads on what materials to use to get your score up and work to your goal.

I am exactly on the same boat as you. I started off my gmat prep with 490 and after 1.5 months of studying, I am at 610 Q48 V27. Have you tried MGMAT SC? It is kind of helping me..I am on chapter 8 for it and have gotten 6/17 SC wrong in my last cat as oppose to 5/11 CR and 5/13 RC wrong.

I had a year between my tests, but the prep was reserved to my MGMAT class. I didn't prep outside of that class much (just to finish the content I was behind on).

The MGMAT CATs assessment will give you a very good idea about your weaknesses in Verbal areas (SC, RC, CR). Did you run the assessment report? If not, its best to do that first before you embark on preparing any area again!
