Hi Guys,
I have been studying for the GMAT exam for the last 4 months and I have finally booked my appointment for the exam on October 17, 2011.
Resources used so far:
1. All 8
Manhattan GMAT guides.
2. OG 12 and the OG review books.
3.
GMAT Club tests.
4. a few random questions, here and there.
After studying from these books, I took 3 MGMATs and scored 670 (Q47 V34), 690 (Q47, V37), 680 (Q46, V37) respectively.
Yesterday, I took the GMATPrep 1 and scored 710 (Q48, V38); with essays and at the same time as my appointment.
In all these mocks there is no real trend in my mistakes and I have not been able to identify any particular weakness. (I do HATE the DS questions on number properties though)
Now- I have completely lost all the enthusiasm and motivation to study for another month. But, I know that is not an option.
The only thing that I have really observed from my mocks is the difference between the GMAT Prep exam and the Manhattan exams.
My original plan was to take as many practice exams in the last month of my preparation and have bought the Princeton and Kaplan exams. But after my GMAT Prep 1, I am not sure if this is the ideal strategy.
I am now flirting with the idea of going through my entire
error log from the 3 OGs and the
GMAT Club test (which is close to 500 questions) and revising the Manhattan guides for the next 2 weeks. Then, have a go at the GMAT Prep2. And in the last 2 weeks, I should do the Gmat Prep docs and cover the OG 10.
My questions to the experts her basically is: what do you guys think (from experience) would maximize my score in the last month of my preparation?
(Work 60 hrs/week, so we are looking at 3 hours on weekdays and 6 hours on weekends)
Thanks a lot guys.
