I've read the information on this thread, but I just want to make sure I got it correct.
It doesn't matter whether I choose to report my score on the test day (as part of the test), or manually afterwards. On both cases all my scores from the last 5 years will be reported.
Conclusion - there's no benefit what so ever in not using the test-day option to report my score to schools, even if I'm not sure to which schools I'm heading.

Correct. You should always take advantage of the opportunity.
The only time I know people hesitate is if they took the test, got 670 (sent the scores in) and then are trying to retake and don't feel comfortable sending in a second score without seeing it (just in case it is 650 or smth like that). This is the only situation that I could see it have a reason (though it is still debatable whether there is any value in in such a plan)

The benefit is that if you do it on test day, 5 schools receive it as part of the test fee you have already paid. Reporting manually afterwards costs something like $20 per school (double check that figure). So depends if money is an issue for you.
