Hi,
I have started studying with the GMAT. Planning to take it on May 22nd or June 6th (Havent booked the date yet)
Wanted to know if 3 months is sufficient for the preparation. I have started with Manhattan Sentence Correction. I have taken the GMAT around 4 years back and scored a low 540(approx: Q: 41, V: 19) Was totally disappointed and forgot all about taking up the challenge all these years.
Now, got back into the MBA mode again as ultimately it eats me up inside that i wasnt able to score a higher GMAT. Please suggest some study techniques. I want to be very strong in basics so i am considering doing that before i get into the difficult questions posted on forums and websites. So mainly my plan consists of going through all the MGMAT books and Official Guide questions thoroughly. This time i am also maintaining an error log which i failed to do so last time around.
I havent taken the GMAT Prep test yet as i feel am not yet ready for it. Planning to take it in a month after prep. Is this plan a good idea?If any other pointers, please do add.

Just as an FYI, i would not book your test for June 6th as that is the FIRST day they are instituting a new section called integrated reasoning. I would suggest you take the test before that date.

To second what GMATLA said, it seems that June 2nd is the last date upon which the "old" (current) version of the GMAT will be offered, so attempt to take your test on or before that date.
