Hello,
I gave my first GMAT in Oct'10, got a 700 (Q 49, V 37). I decided to push the application process out by a couple of years, coz of some developments on the career front. I was actually quite happy with the score at that point, since I was travelling frequently, and had an on and off prep.
I plan to apply later this year. Since I had some time now, and the score would be 2 yrs old, decided to try for a better score. started prep from dec'11.
These are my practice test scores, in the order I gave them over the last few weeks.
Kaplan Free Online Test: 750 (Q 84th percentile, V 99th percentile)
MGMAT1 : 700 (Q 48, V 37)
MGMAT2 : 720 (Q 47, V 41)
MGMAT3 : 680 (Q 46, V 37)
GMATPrep 1 : 740 (Q 49, V 41)
I was having some trouble sustaining the enthusiasm, so took a date on Mar'16. I still have the 2nd GMAT prep, and cpl of MGMATs, that I will give over the nxt few days.
I was wondering, if there is a realistic chance of getting an improvement in this 2nd attempt. I would be happy with a 740. I felt comfortable with the GMAT prep, but seem to be struggling in the MGMATs. On my first attempt in 2010, I had a 680 and 700 in my GMATpreps, and got a 700 in the actual test. Not sure if I should read too much into the
MGMAT scores. Any pointers would be helpful.
Thanks....
