Hai

yesterday, I took mgmat test(I) and my quant score is 30. This is the lowest score I ever had. One week back , I took gmat prep official test and i scored 47 in the quant. All my errors in the mgmat test are careless errors and I got so much confused during test. what are the tips should i follow to avoid careless errors . I already completed my error log for OG. Do I need to revise entire error log ?
My exam date is April 28. what are steps do I need to follow while I am taking practice tests. do I need to do any extra practice questions in quant and verbal. please guide me. Eagerly waiting for your suggestions.

There shouldn't be such difference between GMAT prep and MGMAT tests score. The Quants in MGMAT is little tough. Verbal is at par. Did you analyze your mistakes well? Were all pf them silly mistakes? If they are conceptual errors, you can improve on them. Silly mistakes are scary. You have to be more attentive.

I'm in the same boat. Taking GMAT on 24th April. I too made lot of silly mistakes and calculation errors. But then I found pattern in my mistakes. Most of them were in inequality problems. I dont like those. So whenever I get those I panic a little and mess up. So I started working on it and improved.

Now I make less mistakes. Gist is, try to find pattern in your silly mistakes and work on it!

That's a huge difference. It's hard to believe that someone who got a 47 in GMAT prep test Quant scored 30 in a test prep company's Quant. With a Q47 in GMAT prep test, I would expect you to get at least a Q43 in actual GMAT.
Something put you off while taking the MGMAT Quant. Did you get 2-3 tough questions in the beginning? Did you waste too much time on a few questions? Was the language of the questions confusing? The positive thing is that the language of the questions and the algorithm in actual GMAT would parallel the language and algorithm used in GMAT prep test.
You can avoid careless mistakes by double checking when you note down some figures from the question and double checking the answer you get before confirming it. This is harder to do if you spend too much extra time on a few questions so make sure you pace yourself. Also, take solace from the fact that you got Q47 in GMAT prep test so you do have the ability. You just need to channel it well by keeping your nerves and a cool head.

The difference between mgmat and gmat prep question is wording of questions, particularly percentage problems. At the beginning of the test I got difficult questions but i solved them in with in 2.5 minutes. I started screwed up my test from 30th question, and i got so nervous when i am getting very easy questions. My percentile for 29 questions is 74 percentile after that my percentile never come back. one more point is I took the gmat prep test 2nd time(repeated),and 2 questions are repeated. are the 2 questions inflated my score?.

First of all, don't second guess the algorithm. There are various reasons why it may give you easy questions in between or why you may feel that the questions are easy. The software tends to balance out the exam so it is possible that you get easy questions after getting some tough ones even if you answered the tough ones correctly. Also, when you know the basics of a topic very well, even convoluted questions seem very easy. Just focus on each question as you get it and do not focus on the level of questions you are getting.
The 2 questions would have inflated your score but only slightly. Since the software is adaptive, no one or two can make or break your score. That is the reason that you should quit on a question if you are unable to solve it instead of spending 6 mins on it.
