Hey, even I'm taking my test at around the same time (May end)... So we're pretty much on the same boat as far as our test dates our concerned.

With regards to your query, I would advice you to take one gmat prep test and one mgmat CAT this weekend, if you haven't already done so. This should hopefully give you an indication in terms of your comfort level with various quant topics. Post the analysis of your performance in these mock tests, you may immediately jump to the topics that you're semi-comfortable with. Reason being your target score is 550. In my opinion, you will benefit more by spending the next 5-6 days on these topics than the ones you totally don't have a clue about. If you can somehow perfect your skills in FDP, Number Properties and Inequalities, you can easily achieve your target score in quant.

Hope that helps.

I took my GMAT and got a 750 after studying for about 2.5 months. I have a liberal arts background and was a little worried going into my prep. I took the MGMAT course and also purchased the MGMAT study guides. However, in the end, I found that the Official Guide was more useful to help me ramp up my knowledge. After taking several diagnostic tests, I realized that I performed poorly on statistics-related questions. So I used my MGMAT study guides to narrow my study and address those deficiencies.

So to answer your question. I mostly used the Official Guide to study. I used the MGMAT guides only to help improve specific subjects after I identified my weaknesses.
