Dear GMAT Experts,
I did my first GMAT exam today and I am shocked! My score was much worse off than my first GMATPrep Diagnostic test. I dont know what is going on and I am really clueless as to how I should even restart my studying strategy. Can anyone please advise?
Here's what I did for the past 2 months.
KAPLAN Premier'12 - Covered Quant Concepts, Did all the qns in PS/DS and SC.
KAPLAN 800 - Covered all the Quant Qns
OG'12 - Did all the qns in PS/DS/SC
Manhattan SC - Covered all the basic topics.
Test that I took:
1st Diagnostic GMATPREP Test: 600 (Cant remember the score composition)
1st Kaplan CAT Test after 1 week: 600 Q40V34
2nd Kaplan CAT Test after 1 month of Quant study: 610 Q40V30 - I have no idea why the score is higher even though the composition seems lower. I am pretty upset to see that there is no improvement after 1 month and I was beginning to doubt my study method was correct.
3rd Kaplan CAT Test after 2 weeks of Verbal: Q590 Q37V31 - My goodness.. It seems that the more I study, the worse off I am.
I begin to panick and studied Manhanttan SC duely.
1st Manhattan CAT after 1 week of Manhanttan SC. 680 Q41V41 - I thought great! Now I must be on the right track. I begin to focus on AWA as I am 2 days away from GMAT exam.
2nd Manhattan CAT 1 day before GMAT Exam. 640 Q44 V34 - I thought to myself that this must be the fatigue wearing in and I should be fine after resting.
And yet to my greatest horror, I got the lowest score since preparation. I am so disappointed and felt I studied so much for nothing.
What is wrong with my study plan? A good study plan should improve and not bring you to be of worse state. My aim is 700 and I really hope to get some opinion on what I should do to improve my scores.
Thanks for all the advice in advance.
