Hey guys,
I'm new here and this is my first post. Also, this is the first time that I am preparing for any competitive exam for mba and have zero experience in terms of tests..
I started out my preparation by buying Kaplan math foundations, MGMAT SC, PowerScore CR Bible & the OG. I got the Kaplan foundations as I was low on confidence but it turned out to be a really bad investment..I would have failed primary school if i used that book..fortunately i came across the MGMAT series at the back of the MGMAT SC Guide and decided to go for those instead, as i really liked their SC guide.
I've been using the MGMAT series for quant for about a month now and am currently doing the 5th book in the series which is the last one for quant and I've been doing the GMAT OG questions corresponding to the chapters as well..so by the end of this week I should be done with all quant questions from the MGMAT series + OG.
I'm really confused about what books to go for next? After reading many posts on this forum I got all sorts of opinions about different books..I initially planned to go for the quant OG supplement for additional practice & Kaplan 800 for harder questions and am not so sure about that after reading all the posts here about kaplan..
1) What are the level of questions in the MGMAT? Are they comparable to kaplan 800? Is the difficulty level good enough for the GMAT?
2) Do I need to practice harder questions? If so which resource would be ideal after finishing the MGMAT (I get around 85-90% correct from both MGMAT & OG questions)
3) I think I only finish 60% of the questions in the required time so which book would be best for just practicing?
I have about one month of time left, but I am contemplating delaying it by another month. I am yet to start CR, IR, RC & advanced SC. Also, I have not given any tests yet.
I'm not even sure about what questions I should be asking..Its just that I don't want to overlook any important resource for my quant preparation since I still have some time..Please let me know about any resources that you think are a must for the best quant prep!

You must ASAP give a gmatprep CAT and check your standing. The CAT will also give an idea as to which all areas you need to lay stress.

Take a GMAT prep practice test now to determine what your scoring range is . If you are more than 100 points below your target score , then one month might not be enough .
Based on your practice test scores , you will be in a position to determine what course of action to take . Also when you do practice questions make sure you use a timer . There's no point in answering a question in 4/5 mins . The biggest challenge in GMAT is time managment . A lot of people struggle with this aspect of the test . In addition to using a timer , also keep an error log to track your mistakes . An error log will help you identify areas where you are weak and so you can spend more time on these areas.
