Granted I havent looked them over before every question I got wrong in math was a DS. any tips on these types of questions? I have the Kaplan/GRE book and I only skimmed the section. I definitely need to work on these
A lot of practice. When I first started my GMAT prep, I got a majority of the PS problems right. However I got half of the DS problems wrong. DS was foreign to me. I was not use to this question type. In addition, I knew I was in bad shape when the test prep materials stated that one should answer the DS questions quickly. I answered the PS questions faster than the DS.
So I did the DS problems in the OG at least two times. I also did the DS problems in the Kaplan and Princeton Review separate math books and their full GMAT books as well. I kept doing these problems over and over and over. I also did DS questions on the Internet from various sites. For 1 full month, I worked only on DS and SC problems.
Finally, the DS problems became easier and now I am able to solve them pretty quickly.
Advice: Practice, Practice, Practice!
