I gave my GMAT a week back and scored a disappointing 580 Q42 V28. This was my worst score ever in about 12 tests. I am thinking I should give it again since I feel my range is higher. I usually scored in low 600's and got a 650 and a 700 as well in my practice tests. Also, Q42 is my lowest ever and I got Q45 or more in every other test. What is your recommendation for approaching GMAT a second time?
This is what I did the first time
Did entire OG13 by self study
Got Economist Tutor and covered 92% of the course....over 150 hours of work
Solved Quant review and Verbal review
A grand total of over 300 hours of work...which I believe is way higher than average
12 practice tests.....scored a bunch of low 600's, a 650(1 week before exam), a 700(2 weeks before exam). Scored Q45 or more in almost all tests(Q42 is my lowest) verbal varied from V26 to V38
I know if I use the same approach I will end of scoring in low 600's at most so I need to do something different since I need to get atleast high 600's and ideally 700 to be able to get in a top 20 school.
Please advise what I should do in terms of coursework, strategy, approach etc?
