So, I've taken a few CATs now from different companies. Does anyone know what happens to your last answer right before time runs out on the actual GMAT test? A couple of times now it came right down to the wire. My preferred strategy on the last problem, is to select the answer choice I am pretty sure of, but then let the timer run down while I double check my thinking on the problem. This works if when the GMAT ends, it captures the answer I've selected but haven't submitted. This doesn't work if the GMAT ignores my answer selection until I submit it.
Does anyone know how the GMAT handles this? Do you actually have to submit the answer for the GMAT to accept it? Or, if when time runs out and you have an answer selected, does it use that answer? Hope the question makes sense. Thanks!
