Oh Boy ! That was quite some feedback !

I can understand your experiences and regret that you have probably gone through.

I thank both of you for the warning me in advance.. I was really carried away by the stuff on 800score site.....

My problem is I have Kaplan CD and PP CDs to practice the CATs from,
I plan to finish both of these in another weeks' time..
and I really wanted some more CAT Tests..

Can you please suggest any other software to practice from..

Anyone tried ARCO'S GMAT Book and CD ??
( Princeton comes to my mind..... )

Thanks,

This is to warn all fellow GMAT guys around!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON 800SCORE WEBSITE'S TEST PACKAGE!

IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Its a useless website and a useless collection of tests. The test software is horrible. The results are not saved, you cant do a proper review.
Even the test is not GMAT like - You have to take individual sections!
The verbal is not at all representative of the actual GMAT kind of questions that we have all come to know of through OG, PR and KALPAN!!!

The support is horrible, they dont answer the mails, they have no clue about how the software should work and they know a zilch when they talk over the phone!! I am soo $^*(#& furious!

THIS SURE BELONGS TO ONE OF THOSE FRAUD GANGS LIKE GMAT SECRETS!!

Please spread the work around! DONT WASTER YOUR MONEY![/b]

I wish I had red this review before. Each word is true :)
This site is horrible in score calculation, never respond to error feedback and they have so many errors, atleast in quant.

I agree!! I think its a total waste of time!

Firstly, the verbal and the maths sections are separate files. Secondly, the scoring seems to be skewed and the system does not archive the scores. And finally, the questions themselves appear too easy wrt the actual test! It might be a good moral booster though after doing Kaplan!

I could not more wholeheartedly agree with all of my fellow naysayers out there...800score should be renamed to 800suck. After studying for 2 months at about 10-15 hrs. per week, I felt pretty comofortable scoring 550-600 on the practice CATs and was satisfied considering I have an above avg. GPA and a killer letter of intent. Good enough for the Cal State master programs I'm shooting for...

Then came test day...

I unfortunately scored waaaaay below 500 and felt like I had spent $30 to be bent over a stool and...violated. I would not recommend this program myself for anyone interested in scoring well.

The only upside was that it had a well laid out Analytical Writing section to which helped me score a respective 5.5.

In closing, you get what you pay for...and ultimately, you'll end up paying for it more than you bargained for (like me) in wasted time, the retaking of GMAT and shelling out extra cash for more serious test preparation skills...

Now I'm off to study for round 2....

I would recommend it. The math is not that hard but the verbal is definitely challenging. At the very least, it helps you pace yourself.
I would advise buying the tests and taking them a month from your GMAT test.
