Hi all,
I started studying for the exam last week and I took an official Practice Test after 2 days of solving questions in official guide and taking a look at some gmat books at the book stores. Although I took my practice test in suboptimal conditions (noise, people walking by, my low endurance etc), I got a pretty good score of 760 (q50, v41), ir:8 (I also completed the awa properly)
Seeing that, I got the courage to book the test for 10 days later because I wanted to get it over with and I have got the time right now. But now I see there are loads of material I can (and probably should) go through.
6 of my 10 errors in verbal were Sentence Correction, so I went through the Manhattan SC Strategy Guide. And I think I have a better understanding of it now. Though in verbal, I had the most of the difficulty in Reading Comprehension questions. (I did only 1 mistake, so maybe any luck involved? I don't know)
4 of my 6 errors in quant were surprisingly (for me) in Problem Solving. I thought I'd do better in PS, since it is a more comfortable way of thinking for probably everyone.
I started going over some strategy guides in rc and cr. They offer some good methodologies but it feels like I don't have enough time to get comfortable with all of them and I am afraid they are going to confuse me. Would you agree on this?
I am considering to take a 3rd party practice exam this weekend and the 2nd official practice in next midweek.
I don't have a very good GPA so I want to take my chance with trying to get a good score GMAT (and then TOEFL could also work good). What kind of a schedule would you offer for me? I'd also appreciate advice on material. I took some time off work, I can spare about 70% of my day for studying.
