Today I was writing AWA while taking free Manhattan Free full length GMAT test and found that spell checker was ON. Every spelling mistake was highlighted with zigzag red line under the word(Same as in all other text editors).

Now the question is - Whether spell-checker is ON in real GMAT?

It was on in Manhattan because you were using a browser to access the test. So it's not a feature of Manhattan but rather of your browser. The GMAT corrects that "problem" by administering the test its own interface that does not have distractions such as squiggly redlines ;-)

Hi Bablu,

On Test Day, you'll be working with a real simple word processor. It has 'copy', 'cut' and 'paste' functionality, but nothing else (no spell-checker and no grammar checker). You are ultimately responsible for ALL of those details, so it's important to leave a couple of minutes at the end of the 30-minute section to re-read your essay and make any necessary changes/improvements to what you've written.
