I have completed MGMAT quant guides. Now I have OG, Powerscore CR, Manhattan SC with me. I have read somewhere in forums that we should do 20 quant questions, 8-10 verbal questions from OG everyday. I haven't taken full length practice test after my first GMATPrep-I and I don't want to take that unless I have studied enough CR and SC from the aforementioned books. Should I continue Quant from OG/Powerscore CR/Manhattan SC in parallel or CR/SC together after quant ? I thought of completing quant and then start reading CR/SC together devoting them 1 hr each/day and doing OG questions only after completing theory of CR/SC. I am planning to pick RC from next month. BTW, I solve quant questions from gmatclub everyday. My appointment is in second half of August.

However, you didn't answer any of my questions. The specific advice that I would offer you depends on those answers (and likely some answers to some additional questions. I've included them below:
A) With your score goal (720+) and your last CAT score, you're almost certainly going to have to improve your Quant score along with your Verbal score.
B) Other than having a certain degree of knowledge for SCs (grammar/idiom rules), much of what it takes to succeed in the Verbal section is about note-taking, understanding the logic and 'structure' that Verbal questions will take and knowing how to spot (and avoid) the common wrong answers. As such, Verbal Tactics play a BIG role in correctly answering Verbal questions. You'll need to emphasize those Tactics during your studies.
1) To that second point, what 'steps' do you go through when dealing with a typical SC, RC or CR prompt?
2) How often do you find yourself just 'narrowing down the answer choices and then picking the one that "sounds good?"

I haven't picked up CR yet. For RC, I prefer making some diagrammatical notes. I don't parse through the questions at first. While answering the question after reading the passage, I take reference from notes and parse through the relevant text section again. Some answers choices are out of context, which I eliminate at first sight. Most of the time I narrow down to two answer choices and both seem to be correct, then I make the best guess. At present, my RC accuracy is meagre 65%. Regarding SC, I check sentence for basic grammatical errors first and then idiomatic errors. I haven't started MGMAT SC yet, just completed problem sets from MGMAT "Foundations of GMAT Verbal".
