Hey guys,

I have just begun studying for the GMAT and have scheduled my test for August 27th. Hopefully this will give me enough time to score a 710+.
I did take the GMAT a few years ago but I didn't study at all and just walked in and took it without any prep due to a deadline that I was trying to make. Got a low score on that one but was good enough to get into the program that I wanted but now it is time for me to apply to a top program and I need to do this right this time!

The materials that I purchased were the Manhattan GMAT Complete Prep Set with the Advanced Quant and Ebook access.
This package included: Complete strategy guide set 6th edition, the official guide to the GMAT, GMAT foundations of math and verbal, test simulation booklet, and then the online resources (6 test, 9 question banks, foundations homework banks, and gmat navigator)

I took the practice CAT without the IR and scored a 570 Q37 V31 and I had about 10-15 minutes left in each section. On my previous official test I scored a 4.0 AWA and a 6 on IR so I'd assume I'm somewhere along those lines at the moment.

Today I'm going to go through my practice test and create an error log and then I will start reading both of the foundation books.

After I do that though, I'm a little confused (intimidated) on what the next steps should be! This package has sooo much material that there are so many different ways I can go about this. I definitely want to brush up on my foundations just in case, which is why I wanted to start with that but if anyone has any suggestions or better methods for the material that I have purchased, I would love to hear them. I've been reading through the forum and have read some great advice but there is just so much information that it is hard to consolidate.

Hopefully my goals are realistic as this MBA application is incredibly important to me. This is the first time I've joined a forum with the goal of defeating a test and this is also the first time that I've made studying for a test outside of school a priority for me.

Good luck to everyone taking the test!

Doesn't Manhattan GMAT have a suggested study schedule for people that have purchased their package?

They do, but I was thinking that there may be other tricks to it besides what Manhattan suggests. :)

I broke down and purchased the full interact course from Manhattan.
They credited me the base amount of the book package that I bought and added the discount code from GMATCLUB.

This course will likely take me a little longer than I had anticipated studying for, so 2 weeks before my test date I will be considering postponing for two more weeks depending on the progress that I've made. This was an expensive decision but hopefully it will all be worth it :)

So I am a couple of weeks in and I must say, I am very happy with the Manhattan Prep Interact package that I purchased!
I did postpone my test to September 17 to give myself more time, and the deadline for round one is shortly after that, so fingers crossed (more like work my butt off) that I will not need to retake.

Just some impressions that I have so far-
After learning a few of the simple strategies, I am already wondering how in the world I went in and took the GMAT blindly the first time. I feel that I've benefited so much from just the homework/first page of the Interact syllabus, that I'm getting really excited to take the test.
The interactive videos keep you engaged and don't let you doze off while watching, plus the instructors are quite entertaining and enthusiastic about teaching, which, while being a bit gimmicky at times, is quite welcome!

All I want to do in my free time is study! I haven't touched, or gone for a ride on my motorcycle since I began this journey, and at work I constantly think about studying and have begun asking friends and coworkers, "Simplify this! How would you do it?"
This thing is kind of taking over my life, but in a good way. I'm hoping I can keep this motivation up. I most likely will, because I know that getting into business school is going to be the most impactful event in my life.
