Hi gmat730must,

For the purposes of general practice, there's nothing wrong with retaking a CAT that you've already taken. However, you have to IGNORE the score results. The pool of questions that comes with any individual CAT is limited, so if you choose to retake a CAT that you're already taken, then you are almost certain to see some 'repeat' questions. Just a handful of those questions can completely change your overall experience of the Exam (you like won't have as much stress or the same pacing 'issues' as you would have when taking a 'new' CAT and you might remember the correct answers to those repeat questions - which would throw off the scoring algorithm).

So, if you're looking to actually measure your readiness to take the Official GMAT, then you really have to take a new FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections) under test-like conditions.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
