Having the same problem.
Background:
I am aiming for 720+ score and planning to take the GMAT at most twice.
I am planning to cancel my score if I get <720. If the second time I will score lower than the first time i will cancel this score too and then reinstall my first score.

Question: Will BS see my 2nd cancelled score? Can you please confirm that the following strategy is good? (I am aware of the costs)

Hi Alexander3450,

Yes, under GMAC's current score reporting rules, you are allowed to see your Unofficial Scores before deciding whether to cancel them or not (although they will not include the AWA score). It typically takes about 1-2 weeks for your Official Score to be certified, but it almost always is the same set of scores that appear on your Unofficial Score breakdown.

If you choose to cancel your score, none of the Business Schools will ever even know that you took the GMAT on that date.

Hi,

But the admin will be able to see that he cancelled the score since it will be mentioned on the score report sent to them, right?

Who is the Admin?
As to the school, the school will not see a cancellation record.

Hi All,

If you cancel your Official GMAT Score, then you will be the only one who knows about it (Business Schools will NOT receive access to that result). That record has to appear in the file that YOU have access to though (which is different from the one that Business Schools have access to) so that you can reinstate it if need be and plan for any reattempts at the GMAT. Furthermore, since you have to wait 16 days to retake the GMAT and you are allowed 5 attempts in one 12-month period, the information about any prior, cancelled scores would be relevant to whatever plan you had for future attempts.
