Hi Guys,
Over the last few months, have been thinking about MBA from a good college to further progress my career.
Right now, im not very sure on how positively it will impact me and my life.
A brief background of myself:
Age: 32
BE (CSE)
Total Work Exp: 11
Industry: IT (now a senior Manager with India's biggest Telecom operator).
Annual Package: 25-30lacs INR
Married with a Kid of 4.5yrs
Right now, i feel that if i dont do MBA that i might get stagnant in my career and might not enjoy my work that much and hence, thinking of doing MBA.
My Concerns are basically:
Should i Go for MBA?
Will it positively help in increasing my Package as well as progress my Career?
What kind of program should i Go for?
Should i look out for 1 year or 2 year programs?
Where should i look out for these programs? India, US or someother place
And if general consensus is to go for MBA, where should i start of with in terms of GMAT Prep?

The process of applying to (and ultimately attending) School will require a big investment of time, money and energy on your part, so you really should make sure that applying to Business School is a necessary step to meet your career goals/needs. There are a variety of factors that go into selecting the Schools that you'll apply to, so here are some other things to consider:
1) Is there a particular company that you want to work for or industry that you want to work in? Certain degrees are more appropriate than others if you have a specific career goal.
2) What do you want your Degree to do for you?
3) Do you want to go to School full-time or part-time?
4) Are you willing to relocate? Are you comfortable with working through a program that is primarily online?
5) Are you going to be applying for scholarships?
Etc.
It's okay if you don't have answers to any of these questions just yet, but you really should try to define all of the important variables in terms of your goals, so that you can tailor your entire approach to getting into the best School that matches what you're looking for.
