Just registered to take the GMAT on Monday, March 20th, but I'm getting a bit burnt out. I've only been studying for about about 5 weeks now but need some motivation for this last push. I thought I'd create this thread to give a daily update on my progress and what I'm doing each day. Probably more for me to keep accountable, but if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!
Where I'm at nowI'm at about a 47-48Q and 37-38V. I've been pretty consistent the last two GMATPrep tests I've taken and have 2 left. I haven't really focused much on verbal yet.
Studying SummaryI've gone through all the
MGMAT quantitative guides, RC, SC, and half of CR. When I take a practice test or work through a group of problems, I decide if I need to brush up, then go through the guide and problem sets for that section. I have gone through all of the problems in Number Properties. I need to get a handle on combinatorics and some of the harder distance / rate problems, so I'll do the problem sets for those, as well as some problems on GMAT Club.
Plan for the next 11 daysDay 1 (today): Finish up my
error log for the last large group of the GMATPrep Extra Question Bank I completed this morning. I did 44 problems this morning, about half considered "hard" by GMATPrep. Accuracy was decent, 81% correct and 75% correct on the hard problems. I made a couple of stupid mistakes, like checking the wrong box on data sufficiency or missing a key word.
Day 2: Finish CR guide and do practice problems, review combinatorics, and do at least 12 timed quant problems to keep fresh.
Day 3: Full Length Practice and complete
error log after with notes on why I missed problems.
Day 4: Sunday - Day off to ski
Next weekI'll mostly be doing practice problems with an emphasis on combinatorics and distance / rate type problems. Need to do more SC in there.
Suggestions? For the last week, are most of you just doing a certain number of practice problems? For quant, would you just do a mix of problems, including easy ones? I can do 20 a day comfortably and still have enough time for some verbal practice.
