Hello Guys,
I am preparing for GMAT since the last 4 months.
Have gone through official questions,various concepts and techniques.
I see improvement and am more confident in Quant,SC but still have a long way to go as far as CR is concerned.
I am struggling somewhat ,especially with the harder questions.
Can't seem to apply any strategy and learn from mistakes as well.
For patterns like Causal,Statistics,Analogy I can identify but in general the 700 level questions are so confusing that even after reading the OE I find it hard to agree with the reasoning.It is like a visualization which I am missing.
Strategy wise I have gone through many methods,but none seem to work in context.
Main thing is figure out the meaning and attack the question.
I am **** up in CR as far as confidence goes.
Also,I take over 3 minutes per question in a CR and sometimes end up with wrong answers.
I keep posting here my doubts on CR 700 + questions asking experts to explain why a choice which is not the OA is not correct and end up not really learning in a pattern approach .
Any help and tips for time management will be appreciated.

From your post, it's not clear whether CR is your biggest 'issue' or not - so it's possible that there are higher-"value" areas that you should be working on. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) When you say you've studied for 4 months, what does that mean exactly? What type of schedule are you on? How many hours do you study each week?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) Did you take the FULL CAT each time (with the Essay and IR sections)?
Goals:
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi,
I struggled with CR too initially, but my accuracy has improved a lot with the following technique. Picture one person who you really enjoy disagreeing with, or simply someone you listen to with a lot of disapproval, the kind you want to prove wrong. Whenever you attempt a question, think that the CR prompt is being spoken by this person. When you do this, apart from grabbing your full attention, you will also be able to instantly find faults in the said person's argument. After that, read the question and pre-think the answer without checking the options, you will be able to eliminate answers more easily and this should also help in spotting the correct answer.
