CR skills

Question

HI , 
 My CR skills are very poor. How do i improve those skills. Any material to follow , i've read the CR bible , but i'm unable to improve my skills

Hi IndianBoy,

You've self-defined a need to improve in CR, but that might not be the only area that you need to work on (or the most important one(s)). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) Other than the CR Bible, what study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

 3) Haven't taken a mock yet 
 4) Score - 700+ ( any score would do)
 5) August
 6) Round 2 in January
 7) ISB

Hi IndianBoy,

If you've studied for a month already, then you really MUST take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon (perhaps this weekend). That initial diagnostic CAT is important - it helps to define your strengths and weaknesses and gives you a basis for comparison as you continue to study. Most Test Takers are not happy with that first CAT result, but that's not a big deal - the extra months of available study time are there so that you can IMPROVE on this initial practice result. You can download 2 CATs for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that score result, you should report back here and we can discuss your study plan.
