Hi there everyone
I just finished a
mgmat cat. scored
680(Q45/V37) I'm not really sure how to take this. so far I've taken two diagnostic GMATprep cats
and scored
1st attempt: 650 / Q50 / V28
2nd attempt: 640 / Q49 / V28
after those two test (7 weeks earlier) I went on to read the
MGMAT guides and solve most all of the OG verbal questions. so the improvement in verbal was expected, although way less than I liked to see.
I've done nothing for my quant but expected it to stay the same. I've heard that the Manhattan quant is harder than normal but this is way too low of a score. were the quant sections on GMATprep too easy? should I be worried? I essentially wanted to do 20-25 quant questions (700+) a day for the next 3 months to really make sure I can score 50+. but this is so disheartening. do I need an overhaul in the quant department?
I need 50+ on my quant section since I'm applying to programs that ask for top 10% in quant
I also need 40+ on my verbal since the average GMAT score for the Ph.D. programs I want to apply to is 750+ and I don't want to score less than the average
so what should I do at this point? I have 3 months before my exam.
