Hi,
A few days ago, a little birdie told me to take a shot at MBA school, and this is my first post here

To start with, I'd like to say HELLO!!! I spent a few hours this morning trying to find an appropriate forum to use as a base for my GMAT preparation, and I stopped looking after I stumbled across this site.
To give you guys some background, I'm in Silicon Valley, CA, and the part-time MBA would be an ideal choice. I'm a software engineer, and will have completed almost 6 years of work experience by the time I apply next Fall, the last 3 involving project management. Did my undergrad back in India, and completed my MS in Comp. Sci from USC a few years ago.
Due to family circumstances, I won't get down to serious preparation before Jan end, and I want to budget 5 months for the GMAT (too much?) and another 5 for essays/recos etc. What do you guys think?
At this point, I'm trying to get my study materials in order. I'd like to know what recommendations folks here have for verbal, since that is going to be my problem area, I just know it

I don't mind burning the midnight oil over grammar books, but I believe studying intelligently would make more sense than just studying a lot.
Am looking forward to feedback, and hello again
