I am current on Week 12 of a 6-month study schedule.
I have completed 2 MGMAT Cats.
680 (Q 44, V38)
690 (Q 45, V38)
I can’t get that Verbal past 40.
Any suggestions?

Hi derekmbenjamin,
First of all, it seems like you are at a great spot for having ~3 months left to go! I would highly recommend isolating which part of the verbal section is giving you the most trouble. In the MGMAT test review, you can count up the questions you got wrong in CR/SC/RC and see if you can notice a pattern. Once you isolate the problem section, you can do a deep dive into what specific question type in that section you struggle with the most (example: parallelism in SC). Do as many similar types of questions in the Official Guides, and you will be well on your way to meeting/exceeding your goals! Best of luck

These two scores are remarkably similar to one another, so it certainly appears that you're handling certain aspects of the GMAT consistently well, but you're also making certain consistent mistakes. You've got another 3 months of potential study time though, so you've got plenty of time to improve. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) What study materials have you used so far?
2) Are these the only two CATs that you've taken so far? If not, then how have you scored on each of your other CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
3) On what dates did you take your CATs?
Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
