Dear friends,
Please excuse me if the post is not in the right section of the forum. I am new here.
Long story short: My GMAT (real exam) is scheduled for November, 30th (in 3 days). I am working my ass off, however, it doesn't seem so according to my results on CATs (GMATPrep & Manhattan). I've achieved the following scores:
16/11/2017 Manhattan CAT #1 - 600 (37Q & 35V)
21/11/2017 Manhattan CAT #3 - 590 (42Q & 31V)
25/11/2017 GMATPrep CAT #1 - 590 (45Q & 26V)
26/11/2017 Manhattan CAT #5 - 590 (40Q & 32V)
27/11/2017 GMATPrep CAT #2 - 580 (45Q & 25V)
I also did GMATPrep CAT #1 a long time ago and I scored ~540, however, this was my first ever attempt (in fact, I have heard that this is the most common score on a first try).
I am not the kind of person who overestimates their own abilities, etc. so my target score is mid 600s. While it always seems to me that I am not far away from cracking it, I am yet to have scored 610 or more which is a bit depressing. I am trying to improve on weaknesses (mostly Verbal - CR and RC), I am currently dedicated only to the exam, I've been preparing for around 2-3 months, i.e. have the whole time in the world for preparation.
An interesting pattern that I've noticed is that I always score more on the Quant of GMATPrep and less in the Verbal of GMATPrep compared to Manhattan. (e.g. Quant -twice 45Q in Prep compared to 37, 42 & 40 in Manhattan; Verbal - 26 & 25 in Prep and 35, 31 & 32 in Manhattan). So a combined score of my best performances so far - 45Q + 35V should do the job for me.
What do you suggest? What should I try to improve for the last days of the exam? What is your point of view about the pattern I've found - is it true that Manhattan quant is harder than Prep quant and at the same time Prep Verbal is harder than Manhattan verbal?
I've almost lost faith, this is the only obstacle between me and my dream program, the requirement is a minimum score of 600, I believe the rest of my application is very strong, so a ~650 score would be a dream come true to me. I know it's feasible..
