Hey all,
I've been studying for the GMAT for the past two months and haven't really seen much improvement in my practice test scores. My first practice test, I got an overall score of 540 (32Q, 32V) and after studying for about a month (mostly going through OG questions,
Magoosh videos and practice questions, and
Manhattan prep books), I got an overall score of 590 (39Q, 32V). I scheduled to take an official GMAT test in less than two months, but now I'm starting to think I will not be able to reach my target score of 700+ in that time frame.
I am currently thinking of applying to dual MBA/Education programs, which all accept both the GMAT and the GRE. The schools I am targetting though typically accept students with GMAT scores above 700, and GRE scores around 159Q and 161V.
I took a practice GRE cold and scored (154Q - 55 Percentile, 156V - 73 percentile). When I compare this to my last GMAT practice (39Q - 37 Percentile, 32V - 66 percentile), I think switching to the GRE might be a good move.
What are your thoughts? Should I continue the GMAT preparation or switch to the GRE? I will be starting a pretty demanding job in August and was hoping to take the test before then.
