Hi!
I just took the free
MGMAT test as my diagnostic yesterday, and I score 660. Although I was familiar with the general question types in both sections (I knew that there would be Data Sufficiency questions in quant, critical reasoning in verbal, etc.), this is before I've done any prep. The thing that concerns me is the difference between my Q and V scores - my Q was 43 and my V was 37. Although I did get a fair number of questions wrong, most of them were focused around shapes, something I haven't reviewed since early on in high school (I am now in my 3rd year of my undergrad).
I do have the
Manhattan Prep books, and the OG. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what direction I should take from here on out to improve my Quant scores. Also, around 70-80% of the questions I got wrong on Verbal were sentence correction questions. Tips on either section would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi
luckluck123First off, Welcome to GMATClub.
A 660 is a pretty strong score to start with. The best way to improve your quant
is to first sit and work on basics. Since you have the Manhattan Strategy guides,
you could review the concepts in these books.
Once the concepts are clear, practice questions. You could find practice questions
in the forum. These are some links which I found very beneficial
1.GMATClub Quantitative Mega-Thread2.PS Directory by Topic and Difficulty3.DS Directory by Topic and DifficultyThe second and third links are for practice only. The first link is an alternative
link to the Manhattan Strategy guides and must be used for concepts you are
weak in.
Hope this helps you!
