Hey GMATclub,
I'm a recent college graduate, and I've decided that I want to take the GMAT towards the end of June (before I start work full-time). In following some advice on this forum, I took an official practice GMAT. My scores are as follows: -44Q (63rd%) -42V (96th%) -8IR (92nd%)
I would like to think that I can address the Verbal and IR sections simply by plowing through practice questions - I went into this test with 0 prep, and there were some obvious patterns in question type that I'm sure I could focus on to boost those scores.
In regards to the Quantitative section, I simply haven't taken a math class since high school (I half-assed the only math class I took in college), and have forgotten most everything - I couldn't even long-divide when I was taking this test. This obviously is the area where I need to improve the most, so I would love to hear thoughts on the best, most intensive materials to improve on this section. Keep in mind that I need to basically "re-learn" a lot of this material.
PS: I'm shooting for a 780, if I keep my V and IR scores constant (worst case), around what Q score would I need for that composite?
Thanks a ton!
