Here is a simple question to pose to Pearson:
Why the markers and noteboards?
Obviously we aren`t going to be using such material during b-school studies and subsequently throughout the rest of our working careers, unless the concept of "pencil and paper" itself becomes obsolete.
If it`s for security purposes, weren`t we originally given a recorded number of scratch paper pages and pencils that were collected and counted after completing the exam?

I think those noteboards are used because of cost savings. You can use them almost indefinetely as opposed to paper notes which you have to change over and over again.
