Hi all,
So I have been studying for the GMAT for the past few months (about 200 hours in total) and took the GMAT. When I started studying, I scored 520 and fluctuated between 550 and 620. I scored on the official GMAT a 550. My average verbal and quant practice percentiles hovered around 70% and 30%, but on the official test I scored 59% and 29%. So I did not improve at all from the beginning of my studying. I was hoping to score 650 but fell short.
I had a solid GPA at a top university but I really
suck at math. It's always been a major weakness of mine (despite working in finance). I feel like I was trying to learn fundamental concepts that I wished I learned in primary school while studying for the GMAT.
My target schools are Stanford/Harvard/Wharton/UCLA. I'd consider a MBA program focused for a technology/VC/PE route. I was recommended to consider the GRE. Does everyone agree with this? Will this be detrimental to my admission success? I'm much more proficient with verbal test taking material and am wondering if I should put a stronger GRE score up.
