Hi prototypevenom,

If you have not take any FULL-LENGTH CATs/mocks (with the Essay and IR sections), then it would be a good idea to take one soon; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your current strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

December 15th is less than 5 weeks away, and since we don't know what your current 'ability level' is yet, that might not be enough time for you to hit your Score Goal. While you don't have to make any changes to your plans yet, it's possible that you might have to push back your Test Date and/or change your application plans.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi prototypevenom,

Regarding prep courses, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant courses and read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

You also may find it helpful to read this article about
[url=https://blog.targettestprep.com/improve-gmat-score/] how to improve your GMAT quant score.

Good luck!

I've done an offline course(jamboree), it was months ago. I got out of practice because of work.

Now I've registered for trials at 1)theeconomist( did Verbal - CR) seems pretty good.

so My maths is pretty below average generally, I have studied it like 10 days. completed studying material and OG, but that's not enough so far because I got 13/31 in a practice test that too time went way beyond.

I also have trials of 2)magoosh( not sure why there's so much hype about it, didn't find it any good at least the trial)

3)Egmat

4)exampal

5)empowergmat

6)mathrevolution

so I want to relearn and revise english from basics. and revisit the following topics in quants

(1) Ratio and Fractions, (2) Geometry, (3) Functions, (4) Permutations and Combinations, (5) Probability

Which courses you guys have taken? I plan to give gmat in 1.5months

Budget is not an issue I can buy any courses.

e-GMAT and EmpowerGMAT, in my opinion are better options in the choices you have provided so far.

What is your goal score?

I have been using egmat for verbal and target test prep for quant, both courses are worth it.

Each course takes a slightly different approach - and what works for one person may not work for you. So explore around to see which approach resonates with you.

We take a "thought process" approach - with expert demonstration videos that show the thinking process that goes on in an expert's head as they think through a test question.

We also look at many variations on a core concept. For example, you may be tested on distance = rate * time with 2 trains moving. But what if 2 trains are not moving in the same direction - instead they are moving in opposite directions? What if one starts first before the other? What if one is moving north and the other one is moving east --- or maybe at an angle, thus forming a triangle?

So we cover the core concept - but also provide sufficient practice around that so you know the possibilities of what can be tested.

Here is a Google Sheet with links to OG SC video explanations showcasing our style:

Hi,

For Quant you should try Target Test Prep (Yon can start with 5 days trail for $1 only.

For Verbal : e - GMAT is best IMO. You can also pick EmpowerGMAT.
