LOOKING FOR A PRIVATE TUTOR IN LONDON

Hello everyone,

I am an Italian Student and I've already taken the gmat once but, unfortunately, haven't achieved the score I was hoping for (510) (looking for a 650). 
Since I am deeply aware of my weaknesses, I am looking for someone who can help me on specific areas, especially in the quantitative part.

Can anyone suggest me a private tutor in London? I am looking for someone who can help me with private classes. Do you have any personal experience with someone?

While I'm sure that you could find a GMAT tutor in London, it's not clear whether you actually need that type of study resource at that point. Before you spend a lot of money on that type of service, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs/mocks (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When did you take the Official GMAT and what were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for that Exam?

Goals:
5) When are you planning to retake the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

To start, you might choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn't provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

I have a few follow-up questions about your studies:
1) What "brands" of practice CATs/mocks did you use during your studies.
2) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on each of your CATs?

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so you might naturally improve as you continue to study. That having been said, if you want to be efficient with this next phase of your studies, you might find it beneficial to invest in a GMAT Course of some type that would keep you focused on learning and practicing the proper Tactics.

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. So, before thinking about a GMAT tutor, the real question that you need to answer is why, after previously studying for the GMAT, you are stuck at a 510.

Although a tutor can certainly help you improve your GMAT skills, the bulk of your prep will still be done independently. Thus, even if you end up working with a tutor, you want to ensure that you use thorough prep materials to improve your GMAT skills in between your sessions. With that in mind, I recommend that you spend some time reading  success stories of past GMAT students  as well as reviews of  various GMAT prep courses  to see what prep materials have worked for other test-takers.
