Hi dear fellows,
I wonder if anyone of you has experienced the same thing.
In the last 2 Gmatprep mock tests, 1st verbal question happens to be 700 level, one of them was SC (65% difficulty on Gmatclub) and the other was CR (95%!!! difficulty). May be because my brain didn't warmed up properly (I take verbal section first), I got both of them wrong.
As per my understanding, however, 1st question (even first few of them) should be medium level (600-700) at best.
Is there any discrepancy on Gmatprep online tests?

Hi,
It is not appropriate to assess the difficulty level of GMAT prep questions in the light of difficulty level given by GMAT club. Both are different platforms and both have different ways/parameters to decide the difficulty level of the questions. GMAC has altogether different algorithm to set the difficulty level of the question, and this algorithm can't be compared with any of the test prep companies' algorithm.
For example, the same questions if check on the platform of "beat the gmat", Magoosh, or MGMAT, they may show different level of difficulties for the given questions at each platform
Therefore, don't try to judge the difficulty level of the question during mocks or even during actual GMAT exam. Doing so may hamper your score seriously.

Many Test Takers become too fixated on the 'implied level' of the questions that they're working on - instead of what really matters: defining WHY they're getting questions wrong and becoming more efficient at approaching the overall Exam. It's also worth noting that just because a 3rd party describes a question as "700 level" does not necessarily make it so.
Before I can offer you any additional advice, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
