Hi dear fellows,

I wonder if anyone of you has experienced the same thing.

In the last 2 Gmatprep mock tests, 1st verbal question happens to be 700 level, one of them was SC (65% difficulty on Gmatclub) and the other was CR (95%!!! difficulty). May be because my brain didn't warmed up properly (I take verbal section first), I got both of them wrong.

As per my understanding, however, 1st question (even first few of them) should be medium level (600-700) at best.

Is there any discrepancy on Gmatprep online tests?
It's far more likely that the estimates for the questions you are looking at are "off". If you are really not sure, you could post links to the questions you encountered.

Hi Mehemmed,

First off, I agree that you probably cannot rely on the “difficulty estimates” that you found.

Second, and more importantly, I wouldn’t waste valuable time worrying about the difficulty level of the first question you are seeing in your MBA.com practice exams. Rather, you should focus on the things you can control, and the number one thing you can control is getting better at the GMAT. If you get to a point at which you can dominate the GMAT, you should be able to correctly answer most GMAT questions that come your way (including the first) and get an amazing score, right?

Please reach out with any further questions.
