Hi,
I've been studying for about 4-5 weeks now and am working my way through a number of books -- Princeton, Kaplan, OG,
MGMAT, etc... In the early stages of my studying, I got a 690 and 700 on Princeton practice tests. Today I took the first GMATPrep and got a 730. I nearly fell out of my chair because I thought I was doing very poorly, especially on the math. Ended up with a 47 on Quant and a 44 on Verbal. I'm very happy with the verbal score and plan to continue studying some on verbal just to ensure I keep up the high performance. But with the Quant score coming in at 82 percentile, I'm going to beef up my efforts in that area.
After the rambling, here are my 2 questions:
1) Is GMATPrep an accurate predictor of actual test performance (assuming I don't flip out on test day)?
2) Other than the challenges (which are GREAT!), what math books/resources could I use to study? I am taking the test on 7 June and have alot of time each day to study. So I'm willing and able to take on the harder subjects if it's going to boost my score!
Many thanks for the feedback. This site has been a great help thus far to me, in both practical and inspirational terms.
Thanks.
