Dear All,
I have been pondering on this question for a while. I later reached a conclusion that I might be able to get the answer here. Please what is the typical total number of 700-level questions a person will be given in the official GMAT for one to get a score of Q51 and V45-V51?
In my experience, which comes from taking the test when the sections were longer, if a test-taker's performance were at the 51 level, the quant section would include around 4 to 7 questions that were particularly challenging. There might be more questions that one could call "700 level," perhaps another 5 to 10 questions, but anyone well-prepared for the test probably wouldn't find any but the 4 to 7 hardest ones particularly challenging to answer.
I'm not as sure about the verbal section, but it's a good bet that, in the verbal section, probably about the same number of questions, 4 to 7, would be challenging for a well-prepared test-taker scoring in the 45 to 51 range.
