Hi Chris,
Many GMATers take the Test more than once - and Business Schools generally do not care if you do so. This is meant to say that you're not alone - and it's not a big deal. To be efficient with this next phase of your studies though, you have to learn from the ineffective aspects of your prior studies. Since you've now taken the Official GMAT, you can better train for the exact aspects of what you will face on Test Day.
Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long did you study for your 1st attempt? Now, how many hours do you typically study each week?
2) Have you used any other study materials besides the books and the course that you listed?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to retake the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
