Hello,
I've been studying for a month for GMAT and got a 590(Q48 V23) from the official prep test. My goal is 60%, which is slightly over 600 I believe.
I'm an engineer and I trust my quant ability, although I have very poor verbal as I'm a non-native.
Since not much time left for the exam, should I avoid 700+ questions in verbal and try to increase my accuracy in sub-600 and 600-700 level questions, or is it a silly idea?
I would appreciate any contribution, thanks!

hi baris34, you might be quite close to your goal. The quickest way to elevate your Verbal score is to focus on SC. I suggest to get a good SC book, e.g. Manhattanprep's SC Strategy Guide, cover it, and then carefully solve all SC questions from a certain OG edition. Be smart in analysis of every single question, even if you do a question right. That should help you improve your SC ability in a relatively short span of time. Follow generis and GMATNinja - these two are Verbal pundits.
You have a great Quant score already, so you may not need to spend a ton of time to elevate your Quant skills. There are lots of options for Quant and you might want to focus on fundamental topics that are frequently tested: ratios, percents, fractions, number theory, algebra, and geometry.

baris34 - One score does not show a pattern. How did you score on the previous few practice tests? More importantly, provide the source of the practice tests and the split. I gather your goal is very close to your recent practice test score, but there's no guarantee you will score in that range on the real-GMAT. Typically, test-takers score in the +/- 30 points range of official GMAT Prep tests.
