Forgot to show blank board to proctor during the break befor

Question

Hi guys,

I forgot to show the whiteboard to the proctor/webcam at the start and end of my break before IR section. I asked the proctor at the end when I remembered. She told me I "should have shown it, but my scores will not get cancelled for this".

Any idea what will happen? Is it okay to forget? I guess there were no instructions on the screen reminding me to show the board before and at the end of the break. At the start and end of the Quant/Verbal section, there were instructions in red asking me to show my board, but nothing like that during the break.

Please help.

Aratrika25  - I don't think you need to worry anymore, for the proctor mentioned that failing to show the blank board will amount to any policy breach/score cancellation. Did you receive your office score?

If there were any sort of issues, I think that the proctor would have said something right away, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Any update? I just did the exact same.

I only remembered when I saw the big red text at the end of the exam telling me to show my board... I don't remember any similar instructions before the IR break

Sorry about that... We’ve had a few issues like this in the past and they all seem to have dissipated and resolved without any consequences.

Thanks for the reassurance! I thought I could relax after writing the test but now all this new stress

I really disliked the online exam. The proctor told me not to mumble (but I was just moving my lips, which was presumably more visible as I came close to the camera since the text was difficult to read) which is fine. Then in the middle of the test “Google chrome system updates” forced the browser lock software to close and reopen and I lost a couple of precious minutes on my quant section! This is my second try after they had technical issues during my initial scheduled attempt. Hopefully my scores are valid 😩

Ugh. Sorry!!! That sounds like a terrible test experience and on top of that the scores worry.

I wonder if it's because the proctor may have been partly responsible and is required to check the whiteboard at that specific point during the exam.
