GMATaxe001 - Absolutely, you can. I personally always have a timing stategy table. HOWEVER, please make sure you do so during testing times and not during breaks. And most importantly, please make sure to clear your whiteboard after completion of each section and show your proctor.

and test time includes the time for reading instructions? especially on the online gmat?

GMATaxe001 - What do you mean by test instructions? If you mean the tutorial at the beginning of GMAT Online, then no; you will be allotted separate timing for doing so. If you mean instructions present before individual question type and at the start of each section, then yes; such timing will be included in your sectional timings. Please familiarize yourself with every aspect of the test so that there's no surprise.

Yes I meant the page before each section that elaborates question types. I think that page has a separate time limit of 1 or 2 minutes,
apart from the sectional time allotted.

Hi GMATaxe001,

Yes, you can do that but just make sure that you have enough room on your whiteboard for when you start out on the quant section.
