I literally posted this today on reddit

"There are multiple legitimate ways to study for the gmat. Getting a tutor for example may have a lot of benefits, but it would be good to have a good think about it. Consider taking an afternoon to think about what EXACTLY you need a tutor for? Is it to learn the fundamentals? Is it to be more like a coach and guide as to how to structure your studies and give you that bit of help here and there with those weird questions. Is it to simply get you from point A to B which you can do yourself given time but more quickly?

All the best. Consider checking out and posting on gmatclub.com regarding this topic"

it actually depends on your abilities of learning and preparing on your own, if you have no problems with it, you'll be okay studying and preparing online, if you need a little bit moe time and effort to get the material, i'd advise to choose private tutor

Hi laguil,

To start, since you are interested in applying to some highly-competitive Schools, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have your Score, you should report back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hello,

GMAT Math is completely based upon learning of the concepts and their applications.

Online aid will be self-paced learning and after learning the concepts, one can solve a tactful and good amount of questions to gain confidence in a particular topic or sub-topic.

Getting assigned a private tutor helps you in tracking your progress of learning. The tutor makes sure that your application of concepts is done in the right direction. Also, comprehension of questions is not a challenge for you.

You can schedule a Free counseling session: https://calendly.com/mathrevolution/1-o ... th=2020-12 for 20 mins with one of our experts. The session will answer all your questions and it would be easier for you to decide and prepare for your GMAT.
