hi all , im new user to this forum...
Im currently working for a software company(Backgnd Engineering).. im planning to join GLIM( Great Lakes Institute of Management --Chennai,India)... The Procedure requires a GMAT Score... Im not aware how though is the exam...
The intake for the next 2007 April starts from now till DEc06... so my question is if i join some coaching centre and prepare for 2.5 months(tats the duration of course they offer in tat tution centre) wud it be practically possible to crack GMAT with a very gud score.. and join in the institute ..? or shall i take my own time for preparation and apply for the next academic yr 2008...
I request ur help in this regard..

You can do either self prep to take a course...depends on how you learn best and if you're able to figure out the GMAT without an instructor's help. I would start with self prep to see how much studying you need, and then decide on a course.
If you can find a book (I hear it's hard to find them in India) called Cracking the GMAT, from Princeton Review, that would be a good place to start. It's very good at explaining how the test works and it has a lot of really good info you'll need to study. The tests are great too. You can take a free practice test on their web site, https://www.review.com, if you want to try it without doing any review first.
