Hi I have managed to score around 670 - 680 on my Veritas, Kaplan and Princeton tests. My target score is 730. I want to know more about the accuracy of these tests? I have taken GMAC mocks too. I scored 670 and 730 on them. So I am a bit confused.
Hi ayushx,

There is really no way to know how accurate the score estimates generated by those tests are. The official tests are the best, so it may be a good idea to get the paid ones as well, if you haven't already.

okay I will try to get those

Once you take your next official practice exam, feel free to report back with your score breakdown, and I can provide some additional advice.

A few months back I had taken a Princeton mock and I was surprised to see how their algorithm works.

1. Out of 31 questions I got 28 correct.

2. I got the 2nd question (a probability one) incorrect. I actually just guessed and moved on.

3. From there on, I was given all easy and a few medium level questions on the mock.

So yes, it wasn't a very big accomplishment of getting 28/31 questions correct if all those were easy and medium level.

And I guess this made me lose faith on the Princeton mocks. Based on what I've heard, even if you get 1 or 2 questions at the beginning of the test incorrect, you aren't going to be penalised to such an extent that till the very end you will only get easy and medium level questions (despite of getting all most all questions in a row correct) (Bdw I scored a Q42)

I've also heard that Experts Global is decent enough while MGMAT and Veritas are the closest to the actual test. And ofcourse, the best mocks to rely on are the Gmat Prep ones offered by GMAC.

So if you have time management issues, anxiety or something else that's not related to the conseptual and application aspect of your prep, use Experts Global just to make improvements and get over your fear, or whatever else that you are facing.

Once that's out of the way, you can invest your time in MGAMT and Veritas to see where you stand.

I had the same problem in Veritas. The practice test 2 just gave me two 700 - 750 questions (Which I got right) in the whole Quant.
