Rukia
Hi,

I recently took the GMAT and scored 670 (Q49, V33). I'm happy with my quant score but my verbal score is not improving. I bought an ESR for the exam and I am attaching the results of the verbal part of ESR. Could someone please please guide on where I'm mostly going wrong? My verbal score is just not improving at all.

Hi Rukia,

I think there's much more to your ESR than the one page you uploaded here. It would be much better if you can provide me the whole ESR. That would help me get the whole perspective and suggest you the plan. I'll DM you my mail id to which you can mail the ESR. And we can get in touch over a zoom conference call to analyze your ESR and narrow down what went wrong. Because, analyzing it together will help you understand in a better way. So, you can get in touch with me over a call using the below link.

Hi GMATWhizTeam,

I have attached the full ESR now...Thanks!

Hi Rukia,

This 670 is a nice improvement over your prior 560 from last year. Your overall performance in the Verbal section is remarkably similar to your Verbal performance during your 1st attempt though, so it's likely that you developed some 'bad habits' during your prior studies that are keeping you from scoring higher. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before we discuss the data in this ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you studied for this attempt and your goals:

Studies:
1) Was this your 2nd attempt at the GMAT or were there any others besides your 1st?
2) How long did you study for this attempt? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of your studies?
4) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to and what specific application deadlines are you facing?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Rukia,

I see we have not heard from you in a few weeks. Are you still studying for your GMAT?
