Hello Everyone,

I started my Gmat preparation about 1.5 years ago and prepared for about 5-6 months but unfortunately couldn’t sit for exam due to some reasons.

Now I want to start it again but I am not sure how my study plan is going to be. My target score is 730+. Score i was getting at that time was around 680 after 5-6 months of preparation.

At that time i had aslo given Official GMAT practice test 1&2.

Practice material I used at that time was:
-Manhattan guides for quant and verbal
-OG
-Powerscore CR bible
-Gmatclub quant test

Can anyone please guide me to plan my studies to achieve my goal and I want to know as well whether I can take Offical GMAT practice test 1&2 again to guage my score level at this time or not?

Thank you

Hi HasnainAfxal,

I suggest you to first take a mock to assess your current level. If you are sure that you don't remember any answers of the first two mocks, then you can go ahead with them. Once you take a mock, identify your weak areas and start learning.

The path ahead:

  • Make sure you develop a habit of studying everyday
  • Make a proper study plan
  • Use the right resource which can help you with concepts, methodologies, questions along with their detailed solutions
  • Prepare in a structured manner
  • Do not focus more on practicing questions. Instead, focus on the process.

You might be already aware that a gap can have a huge effect. You might have to start the entire prep again. So, this time make sure you finish your preparation in a single shot. If you face any challenges in making a study plan, you can get your personalized study plan for free by signing up for the free trial of GMATWhiz. And if you need any help with the study strategy, you can get in touch with me over a call so that we can have a detailed discussion regarding the same.

Thank you so much for your guidance :)
I will surely follow these steps
