GMAC Sweepstakes for GMAT Registration

GMAC has surprising sweepstakes

If you register for the GMAT by Dec 27th.... I would probably not rush to register if you did not plan to but if you were planning to register for the GMAT anyway, then why not. It seems to also count if you have already registered (any time between Dec 14 and 27). So I would submit the contest form (there are also other contests that are planned every 2 weeks through the end of Feb, so you can always register for that one when you are ready to register for the GMAT.

At the same time, it is pretty surprising that GMAC is offering to win a course and practice questions since in my experience most people actually set a date quite a bit into their prep process (I chose mine when I was pretty much done) so getting a course or questions, esp since the winners will not be announced until Jan 18th! What the point of a course? It is like winning an unlimited bus pass with a purchase of a car. What is the point of this?

In any case, that's GMAC - they don't quite think through their decisions it seems but if you win, it is still better than nothing. Good luck! Hope you do!

My understanding is that your date of the test can be any time, but you need to register for it this week. 
P.S. I would register for the sweepstakes anyway by the way....

P.S. Something jumped out at me in the email: *GMAT appointments booked outside the contest dates (February 7-28, 2021) will be voided. See rules.
That's a pretty messed up way to say that one will be excluded from the sweepstakes.... I think they meant that the sweepstakes will be excluded, not that their GMAT appointment will be voided
