Immediately after the test, you will see your unofficial scores for Verbal and Quant section where you have the choice to accept the scores or cancel it.
After you accept, GMAT will send the scores to any schools that you selected prior to taking the test at no additional cost (you can't change the school list after taking the exam). If you didn't select any schools, you can still send the scores later at a fee (from my understanding GMAT will send all the accepted scores within the past 5 years). However if you cancelled the scores, you won't receive the official scores for it and it won't appear in the report sent to schools.
