Hi,
I recently took the excruciating GMAT test. I am not too happy with the result. I scored 540. My main problem was time management. I just could not finish on time so in many questions I randomly guessed the answers without reading the questions. I also had to deal with some painful questions in math like if r is an integer is > or <...questions. I hate those. They skrew with your head. I studied using kaplan, PR and OG. I believe I improved in Verbal quite a lot from the first time but I guess it needs more improvement. I am ok in math. Not a genious obviously but not too bad either. I know i need improvement in SC and DS mainly.
I was wondering if anyone took Kaplan courses and if they are helpful at all? I am confused and I don't know if I should practise by myself and take it again or enroll myself at Kaplan. Also, if you have any specific suggestions please feel free to let me know. I really want to score close to 700.

I took a class with Veritas and it was pretty much a complete waste of time and money. All of the prep classes are pretty much the same thing so I would self study. If you have some extra cash put it into a tutor to refine your rough spots.
If time management is a problem, nothing beats taking a ton of tests! Try parsing off sections of 37 math questions and 41 verbal questions and timing yourself in 75 minute blocks.
